I heard the Lord say, “checkmate”

Several weeks ago I was sitting at a gathering when I heard the Lord whisper, “checkmate.”

When He spoke I understood that though it was just a single word, a heavenly declaration was being made…

Victory is at hand.

Checkmate…

It’s the winning move in a game of chess and a finality that one’s opponent has no moves left.

I have recently felt such a sense and a stirring from the Lord that we are entering into a checkmate season.

A time of His due process and of restitution…

A quick closing of the unjust cases.

And a restoration of all things plundered being returned even better than before!

For while many have felt unable to come up for air, buried beneath the weight of unrelenting warfare and onslaught in this season…

Feeling weary in battle and too acquainted with the trenches that they have occupied…

I see the Lord’s righteous right arm moving swiftly on their behalf.

For though the enemy devised, cunned, rallied and plotted, he indeed has overplayed his hand.

Watch now as the enemy’s plan is turned upon himself and confusion settles into his camp.

As the very tactics that he deployed return void of execution and he realizes that he has no moves left.

The armies of the valley may have arrived with intimidation, but spiritual eyes are being opened today to the mountains that are filled with horses and chariots of fire.

For those who are with you are more than those who are with them!

Can you hear the dismantling?

There’s a suddenly in the air!

And this last move belongs to the King.

An imminent victory is at hand!
